NEW EP!!!
TODAY, Planeside releases 'Under the Circumstances, It's Not Such a Bad Idea,' the anticipated follow up to 'MILK' (2006). 'Under the Circumstances…' is a fine collection of 6 songs that you'll be singing along to with all of your little hearts.
Produced, recorded and mixed by Jonathan Wyman, the new EP is a showcase for the band's continuing effort at honing and developing their craft. The songs are tighter and the hooks are stronger than they've ever been. "We wanted to get in the studio and just have fun exploring the space," says singer/guitarist Dave Harris. "We let the songs dictate everything." This approach welcomed all kinds of instrumentation - even a guest vocal appearance by Rustic Overtones frontman, Dave Gutter.
Although 'Under the Circumstances…' is only available exclusively at all Bullmoose Music locations (for now), you can still order a copy online at cdbaby.com and planeside.com (soon...). Of course the band will also be selling copies of the new EP at all shows. A limited number of copies purchased at shows will include handwritten lyrics signed by the band.
Starting today, March 11th until this FRI. MAR. 14th - "Under the Circumstances, It's Not Such a Bad Idea" will be streaming in its entirety at www.myspace.com/planeside. As an added incentive, 'Stars', the first single to debut on Portland's WCYY 94.3, will be downloadable for FREE during this period!

PLANESIDE has awakened from it's long slumber. This past year has been a slow one for Planeside due to circumstances beyond our control. WE'RE FUCKING RESTLESS! To get back to normal, we have a handful of shows and some Demo's of new material. Keep checking back (here and Myspace) for updates on upcoming shows, activities, etc.... We have some hometown shows, like PORTLAND, ME., HARRISBURG, PA. and of course CT. (Sorry Southerners, we'll get to you at some point we promise!!!)

PLANESIDE has the honor of playing the Grand Opening party at ARCADIA in Danbury CT. this THURS. MAY 3rd. This is the old HAT CITY ALE HOUSE where we made our Danbury debut. It was here that we hooked up with BIGTOPLOW/Human Vice Patrol and, "your my buddy" - the DEAD 50's from PA. The club has a brand new kickin PA System and stage. We're psyched to try it out. We can't believe it either, but it's been over a year since we played in Maine! Portland is very much a second home for us. Our good Friends at WCYY 93.9 and HEADSTART have invited us to play the BIG EASY on FRIDAY the 13th of April. They both hosted us last year when we released "MILK" in March. Can't wait to see everyone again.

PLANESIDE to play 7 Willow St.!!!
PLANESIDE will be returning to Port Chester, NY to play the legendary 7 Willow St. venue on THURS. APRIL 5th. Once the jewel of our local scene, 7 Willow St. played host to every major band from 1987-1999. It has since turned into a Latin Club and Closed. For one special night, PLANESIDE and their buddies the Boardlords (Who we have NEVER played with!) and Dogs of Winter will return to the stage that we all called home with our former bands. (Joni's Butterfly, The Orphans, Paisley, Mediteranio, Army of Souls...) Please come out and support what could be a major step in returning the club to it's former incarnation. Doors are at 9pm, Planeside will play the middle slot. (We'll be performing MUCH earlier than we did in our days at Marty's we promise!!!!). The next day is GOOD FRIDAY, many of you will not have to wake up for anything!!! Be sure to come early for drink specials and a chance for a $2. dance with Ken or MC Rice from the Boardlords!!!

Keene Music Festival in NH Sept. 3rd ----- Planeside has been added to this years KEENE Music Festival on Saturday Sept. 3. The show takes place in downtown Keene, NH and runs from 11am - 10pm. Our performance will be on the CITY TIRE "Rock Stage" at 7pm. This event is all ages and entirely FREE!

PLANESIDE & LIT at Toyota Arena This Saturday! ----- Planeside and LIT ("My Own Worst Enemy") will be rocking together this Saturday, August 20th in York, PA. This final installment of TUNERWAR will be held at the YORK County Expo & Fairgrounds in YORK, PA. We will be performing in the Toyota Arena, doors open at noon. Also appearing are ROTOGLOW, Bo Bim, the Bastard on Wheels Stunt Team & Playboy Playmate Kristen Jackson.
There will be a limited number of commemorative posters (50 numbered and signed by the artist STRIPLAB) for sale at our merch booth. Tickets are available at the Gate.
FINCH / A Static Lullaby show ----- Planeside will be returning to the Webster Theater/Underground in Hartford, CT. on Friday August 19th. Finch, A Static Lullaby and RX Bandits are on the main stage. We will be on the underground stage with our friends Animal Suit Drive-By (Maine) and the Superspecs. Tickets are $15. and this is an ALL AGES Show.

Planeside - Top 10 Band to watch! ----- Fly Magazine in Pennsylvania, has listed PLANESIDE as a Top 10 band to watch in it's recent JUNE edition. While performing at the Millenium Music Festival, we couldn't help but notice that PLANESIDE was given this honor in FLY's article about the festival. THANKS! Planeside on FOX NEWS from CMJ! ----- The fine folks at FOX8 News in Cleveland have chosen to Feature PLANESIDE for their coverage of CMJ at the Rock'N'Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland this Friday June 10th. Planeside will perform and be interviewed by local newscaster Kenny Crumpton for the morning segment "Kickin' it with Kenny". Later on at 12:30pm, Planeside will be performing on the GIBSON guitars Stage at the Festival Village for this years first annual CMJ/Rock Hall Festival. Tune in or see ya there!

Interview on 96.7 WBZT (SC) @ 6pm ----- You can hear Planeside being interviewed tonite at 6pm on WBZT 96.7 in Greenville, SC. Andy White will talk to us morons and play 3 of your favorite Planeside songs. This is a huge deal since this is a (Satanic, oops did I say that loud...) Clearchannel station and they NEVER play any unsigned artists! We had a blast on their stage at Freedom Festival Aloft. BRANT BJORK show in AL.! ----- We were totally stoked to learn that Brant Bjork & the Bros. had been added to our bill at The Nick in Birmingham, AL. on Weds. May 18th. For those of you who don't know, BRANT was a founding member and Drummer of the Almighty KYUSS. He later went on to Produce and Drum for FU MANCHU. He can also be heard smacking the skins for Mondo Generator & QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE. Needless to say, we were extremely giddy! The band is a mellow cross between Fu manchu & Kyuss. Great Shit! Look for Pics from the show to posted when we return from tour!

BAYSIDE & LOST CITY ANGELS Show! ----- Planeside was at the WEBSTER UNDEGROUND with BAYSIDE & LOST CITY ANGELS on Sat. May 14th. We had a blast hanging out with the Angels. Turns out we have tons of mutual friends and We instantly hit it off. Look for future dates with the two of us after they return from their tour with Social Distortion.

SUNFEST 2005 ----- We just returned from probably one of our best tours. Thanks to everyone who turned up for the shows. Your attendance made this tour a huge success. Besides sharing bills with Viva Voce & the Independents, Planeside had the honor of playing at this Years SUNFEST in West Palm Beach FL. Planeside performed on the Washington Mutual Main Stage on Sat. April 30th with SUM41, Unwritten Law, Hawthorne Heights & Classic Rock GOD Steve Miller Band! We were up on the jumbotron and everything! There will be some video footage of the event coming in the near future to Planeside.com. keep checking back...

MILK ----- Starting tonight, Planeside will be at Tree Fort Studio in Hoboken, NJ to finish our new album "MILK". We continue to work with Grammy Award Winner John Seymour at his new studio. We will be there EVERY DAY & NIGHT until Jan. 26. The new album will feature 11 or 12 original tracks and should be in your local stores on April 13. Wish us luck!
