HARD ROCK CAFE in Baltimore for Gran Prix!
The Hard Rock Cafe welcomes the IndyCar Series to Baltimore with the Grand Prix Welcoming Party on Friday September 2nd, 2011. This evening kicks off race weekend with IndyCar driver meet & greets, live performances on the Hard Rock’s outdoor pier with Doug Rockwell, Planeside, 8 Ohms and a DJ performance by Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails/Marylyn Manson), exclusive access VIP area, and silent auction to benefit Al Unser Jr. Children’s Charitable Foundation and the Johns Hopkins Hospital, located in the heart of Baltimore. Al Unser Jr. and other drivers will be doing a meet & greet. This Event is Free! Planeside hits the stage at 9pm.

Boardy Barn Show!
The world famous Boardy Barn is an institution in the Hamptons. Open only on sundays for a mere 3 hours, they outsell Yankee Stadium in beer sales on a gameday! They don't open on other days and they don't have entertainment. However, this is a special occasion. PLANESIDE will be appearing at The Boardy Barn on Sat. Aug. 20. We will be headlining a fundraiser for Long Island Roller Rebels (You guessed it, the local roller derby team! We've already done fundraisers for the Hudson Valley Horrors in NY and the Harrisburg Area Roller Derby in PA.). Doors open at 7pm and the whole thing is over at 11pm when they kick your drunk ass out! Also appearing are our buddies Haunted Hacienda & Supercargoman. Don't miss this historic event!

SoNo Arts Festival
Planeside will be appearing at This years SoNo Arts Festival in South Norwalk, CT. on Sun. Aug. 7. We'll be appearing on the Washington Street Stage by Donovan's at 12pm sharp. We will start at Noon and play for an hour. Much like Spinal Tap, we will be followed by a puppet show! the Puppet Parade will start at 1:30. (I'm not joking! We will start at noon- sharp, and there will be puppets).

Kayak for a Cause benefit show
Planeside will be doing a very rare local appearance for the Kayak for A Cause Beach party/benefit show. This is the Main Event for KFAC. We are playing alongside the Tangiers Blues Band (Fresh from Bonnaroo), & Reggae Legends John Brown's Body. It all takes place at Shady Beach in Norwalk. It starts at 3pm and Ends at 7pm. Admission is FREE! BUT, there are many ways to make a donation. If you'd like to drink at the event, details can be found by clicking the Kayak for a Cause link listed above. This show is ALL AGES and will be quite an event with great production.

PLANESIDE/6GIG!
Our old buddies in 6gig have reunited! We'll be playing together on Sept. 17 at The Dover brickhouse in Dover, NH. Reunited and it feels so Good. We're psyched to have them back. This show will most likely sell out. Ticket info coming soon.

Kayak for a Cause benefit show
Planeside will be doing a very rare local appearance for the Kayak for A Cause kickoff party/benefit show. Admission is $30., which includes food and OPEN BAR! The Benefit is on Thurs. March 31st, from 6-9pm. Planeside will be performing at 8pm. This is a rare oppurtunity to see Original Music at the old "Shenanigan's" venue. It's been close to 10 years since we performed on this stage! Come support a great cause.

Planeside/Paranoid Social Club Mini-tour
Planeside will be reuniting with our old pals Paranoid Social Club (Portland, ME., Universal Records) for a trio of Shows in Early April. Kickoff is April 6th, we return to The Studio at Webster Hall in NYC. The Following night, Thurs. April 7th finds us outside of New haven at THE SPACE in Hamden, CT. for an ALL AGES Show. (The Space recently opened The Outer Space next door which has a BAR! Admission to the show gets you bar access if you are 21+)! Then, Sat. April 9th we finish our mini-tour in Westhampton, NY at Casey's with Haunted Hacienda.

PLANESIDE voted Grand Band Slam Winners!
PLANESIDE has won BEST ROCK & BEST BAND in the Fairfield County Weekly's GRAND BAND SLAM. We won the BEST ROCK Catergory for the first three years ('04-06) and it's nice to be voted back for the 4th time! We were surprised to win the BEST BAND Title as well! We we''re also surprised to be a runner up in INDIE ROCK and outright shocked to be the runner up in the METAL Catergory! Thanks for voting for us! Thanks for your support! (Metal? Really?). Planeside returns to SUMMERFEST in Milwaukee
SUMMERFEST in Milwaukee, WI.,is the worlds largest music festival that runs for 10 nights with headliners on 8 main stages. We'll be returning on Weds. June 3oth, sharing the stage with Pop Evil & Cavo on the Miller Lite/CoolTv Rock Stage at 5:30pm. Also appearing are Puddle of Mudd, Chevelle, WAR, the Moody Blues, Dark Star Orchestra and many more for only $15. (However, if you want to see USHER on the amphitheater stage that costs extra...Sorry!).

PLANESIDE to tour with PEARL (& SCOTT IAN of ANTHRAX!)
Planeside has been invited to open for PEARL (Megaforce Records) on her 5 Northeast dates. PEARL. is Pearl Aday, Daughter of Meatloaf. She has sung with Dad, FILTER & MOTLEY CRUE among others. She is backed by the legendary Mother Superior from L.A. Through the years, they have been the backing band for Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, George Clinton, LEMMY of Motorhead, Nick Olivieri of Queens of the Stone Age and at one point, they WERE the ROLLINS BAND! Also, on this tour only, they'll be joined on Rhythm Guitar by her Fiance, SCOTT IAN of ANTHRAX! Needless to say, we're pretty Stoked! Our first date is April 28th at The Studio at Webster Hall - and our last is May 2nd at the Spy Club in Harrisburg, PA. New York/Connnecticut trio Planeside are torchbearers for meat-and-potatoes 1990s alternative rock, which might seem a bit prematurely retro until you consider the guys have been at it for 10 years. That's an impressive run for a band on the local club scene, where original bands tend to fizzle out and splinter after a couple years. Perhaps Planeside's longevity has something to do with their road-warrior nature. Rather than stew in their own juices in the same five or six area clubs, they do laps around the eastern U.S. Or perhaps it has something to do with the fact that there's something evergreen and appealing in their gutsy riffs and throaty but melodic singing. In any case, Planeside has outlasted countless upstart bands to become a regional institution. - Fairfield Weekly.com.

Lengendary DJ Matt Pinfield spun "My Sweet Revenge" on his morning show today around 9:40am. We're honored to have been chosen by someone of Matt's caliber. Tonight, we're at Webster Hall in NYC and then tomorrow Fri. Jan. 8 at TOADS PLACE in New Haven, CT. 2010 is off to a great start!

2009 in Review
2009 was a busy year for PLANESIDE and a year of many firsts. We got on national TV, twice! On two seperate episodes of DOG The Bounty Hunter! We finally got down to Texas for SXSW and played 5 shows! Including showcases for Redgorilla, Altercation Records, Music Gorilla & Texas Rock Fest. We also appeared at LAUNCH (PA.), DEWEY BEACH (DE), CABIN FEVER (NY) , SEASIDE MUSIC FEST. (NJ), RIVERFEST (NY) & SLAMFEST (CT). We played to crowds of 1000's with Gilby Clarke of GUNS N ROSES at ALIVE@5 in Stamford, CT. and the next day at SUMMERFEST in Milwaukee, WI.! We toured the Northeast, Southeast and South. Fan videos appeared on youtube from CT, ME & WI. Our Song "DEAD & GONE" made regular rotation on WTOS 105.1 FM. - PLANESIDE was even immortalized in the ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME ANNEX in New York City! (Thank You CBGB's, We miss you...!). Stay Tuned in 2010...
